Preparation

The cooking times below are in minutes and based on using fully thawed products. All times are approximate. Cook until fish is opaque throughout without over cooking.

Thaw in refrigerator. When thawing, remove from plastic packaging. Cover and refrigerate below 38°F. Once thawed, consume within one to two days.

GRILL: Preheat grill to medium heat. Wrap Mahi Mahi steaks in foil. Grill Mahi Mahi steaks approximately 6-7 minutes on the first side. Flip, then continue to grill an additional 5-6 minutes on the second side. Thicker portions may take slightly longer. They are done when the steaks are opaque throughout and temperature reach 145°F as indicated by a food thermometer. Baste with butter when cooking, if desired. As with any fish, for a flaky, moist entree, avoid overcooking. Use a mixture of 1 Tbsp. of butter and 1 tsp. lemon juice to accompany your steaks.

PAN SAUTÉ: Preheat pan to medium heat. Sauté, covered, approximately 6-7 minutes on the first side. Flip, then continue to cook an additional 5-6 minutes on the second side. Thicker portions may take slightly longer. They are done when the steaks are opaque throughout and temperature reach 145°F as indicated by a food thermometer. Baste with butter when cooking, if desired. As with any fish, for a flaky, moist entree, avoid overcooking. Use a mixture of 1 Tbsp. of butter and 1 tsp. lemon juice to accompany your steaks.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake 14-16 minutes. Thicker portions may take slightly longer. They are done when the steaks are opaque throughout and temperature reach 145°F as indicated by a food thermometer. Baste with butter when cooking, if desired. BROIL: Preheat broiler to high heat. Place fish on an oven safe pan on highest rack. Broil Mahi Mahi steaks, uncovered, approximately 6-7 minutes on the first side. Flip, then continue to broil an additional 5-6 minutes on the second side. Thicker portions may take slightly longer. They are done when the steaks are opaque throughout and temperature reach 145°F as indicated by a food thermometer. Baste with butter when cooking, if desired.
