Ingredients

Shrimp Sauce

  • 1/4 lb. unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons blackened seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite lager beer

Barbeque Shrimp Skewers

Instructions

Shrimp Sauce

  • In large pan on stove, melt 1 tablespoon of butter on medium heat, then add garlic and cook until soft.
  • Add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, beer, and 2 tablespoons of blackened seasoning.
  • Bring to a boil and cook 5-10 minutes or until sauce is thick and reduced. Remove from heat and stir in remaining butter.

Barbeque Shrimp Skewers

  • Thaw frozen shrimp in refrigerator overnight.  
  • Preheat grill to high.
  • Skewer shrimp on 4 pre-soaked bamboo skewers.
  • Season shrimp with the reserved 1 teaspoon blackened seasoning.
  • Grill 2-3 minutes per side, depending on size of shrimp.
  • Pour shrimp sauce over each skewer when serving.
  • Optional: Serve with a glass of your favorite lager and crusty bread to mop up the sauce.
