Why We Love This Ground Beef Recipe
There are a lot of dip recipes out there, but this one is the first pick among seasoned tailgaters. Why? Start with the rich and juicy, perfectly cooked ground beef seasoned with smoky paprika, clean-tasting salt, woody pepper, and mild garlic powder. Sounds good, right? Now think about complementing that tasty beef with tangy cream cheese, buttery cheddar cheese, creamy mozzarella cheese, sweetly caramelized onions, rich heavy cream, umami-packed Worcestershire sauce, and a few dashes of hot sauce. But we’re not done yet; we’re going to top all that goodness with extra cheese and broil it to golden brown perfection before adding crispy chopped romaine lettuce and sweet and tangy diced Roma tomatoes and drizzling a mouthwatering homemade sauce over it all. Does that answer your question? Good. It’s kickoff time!

How to Make Quick & Easy Ground Beef Cheesy Dip
Your tailgate party will never score extra points if you’re using sub-par ground beef! That’s why the only way to serve this dip is by making it with the best of the best: Omaha Steaks Ultra-Premium Ground Beef. Made from real extra-aged Omaha Steaks and ground twice by master butchers, it boasts an 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio to deliver the most flavorful, juiciest beef around. All it takes is one bite of your dip for everyone to know you used rich, robust, guaranteed-perfect Omaha Steaks ground beef and nominate you for tailgating MVP!
1. Whip Up Some Super-Secret Sauce
A sauce this good must be complicated, right? Nope! All it takes is combining your creamy mayo, tangy ketchup, crisp yellow mustard, vinegary pickle juice, and some dashes of hot sauce in a medium bowl, whisking them until they’re well incorporated, and seasoning them with salt and pepper. That took less time than a commercial break!
2. Game On! It’s Dip Time
To get this all-star dip started, add three tablespoons of vegetable oil to an eight-inch cast-iron pan over high heat, then add your thawed ground beef, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook the beef for about five to seven minutes, until it’s browned and completely cooked through. Once it’s done, use a slotted spoon to remove the beef (leaving those tasty drippings in the pan) and set it aside for a later step. Add your diced onions to the pan with the drippings and cook them until they’re caramelized, which should only take about 90 seconds.
Once caramelized, you’re going to whisk the flour into the pan with the onions and cook for about 10 seconds before adding your heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Bring that all to a boil, then immediately reduce it to a low-heat simmer. Now whisk in one cup of your shredded cheddar cheese, half a cup of your shredded mozzarella cheese, and your room temperature (for easier mixing) cream cheese. Continue whisking until all the cheeses have fully melted and emulsified into a mouthwatering cream-like consistency over about two minutes.
Where’s the beef? Right here! Stir your browned beef into the cheese sauce, season it to taste with salt and pepper, and remove the pan from the heat. Now top it with the remaining cheddar and mozzarella shredded cheeses – because there’s no such thing as too much cheese – and place it under the broiler on the low setting for about one to two minutes until it’s gloriously bubbly and perfectly golden brown.
All that’s left to do is top it with your crispy chopped lettuce and tangy diced tomatoes, then drizzle that secret sauce over it and serve the dip and remaining sauce with tortilla or potato chips – or both – and kick back and enjoy the game!
