Before You Start

Ingredients
Sautéed Onions
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Classic Patty Melt
- 1 Omaha Steaks Burger
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 slices rye bread
- 1 oz. sliced Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons sautéed onions
- Omaha Steaks Seasoning
Instructions
Sautéed Onions
- Prepare your sautéed onions by adding 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a medium-sized pan and bringing it to medium-high heat. Sauté onions until slightly caramelized and tender, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Classic Patty Melt
- Season the Omaha Steaks Burger with Omaha Steaks Seasoning and cook via your preferred method to your desired doneness.
- Spread 1/2 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Grill the bread with mayonnaise-side down in pan.
- Melt the sliced Swiss cheese on the bread slices.
- Put the burger and the sautéed onions between the melted cheese.
- Cut in half and serve.
