Applewood Smoked Bacon-Wrapped Tender Tips with Maytag Cheese
This easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer packs plenty of flavor into individual toothpicked servings. Guests will love picking up bites of perfectly cooked Omaha Steaks Tenderloin perfected with our all-new super-juicy Steak-Cut Bacon. A piece of melty, savory blue cheese ties the flavors together.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 lb. of Omaha Steaks Tenderloin Tips
- 1 tsp. Omaha Steaks All-Natural Seasoning
- 16 slices Omaha Steaks Applewood Smoked Steak-Cut Bacon
- 32 to othpicks
- 4 oz. Maytag blue cheese
- 2 T balsamic vinegar glaze reduced balsamic vinegar
- 2 T minced chives
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place thawed bacon in single layer on a foil lined pan. Cook for 25 minutes.
- Preheat a cast iron skillet on high.
- Thaw and blot dry the Omaha Steaks Tenderloin Tips. Trim the pieces so they are about 1/2 oz. each and not as tall as a slice of bacon.
- Season the Omaha Steaks Tenderloin Tips with the Omaha Steaks All-Natural Seasoning.
- Add the oil to the cast iron skillet and heat briefly.
- Add the seasoned tenderloin tips the skillet and cook for 1 minute while stirring (just long enough the sear the sides).
- Quickly remove the tenderloin tips for the skillet and cool in fridge.
- Cut cooked bacon slices in half and wrap seared tender tips with bacon and hold together with a toothpick.
- Stand the wrapped Tenderloin Tips up on a sheet pan so that the bacon is on its side leaving some space in between.
- Pack about 1 tsp of Maytag blue cheese in the center of the bacon. Cover pan with plastic film and refrigerate until service.
- Preheat oven to 450 and heat the bacon-wrapped tender tips for 5-8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and transfer to serving plate.
- Drizzle with Balsamic Vinegar Glaze and sprinkle with minced chives before serving.
