How to Bake Snapper

How to Bake Snapper
Such an elegant fish might sound intimidating to cook but, baking snapper is quick, easy, and can be done in 15 minutes. Enjoy perfectly seasoned and baked snapper in just a few steps.
1. Thaw Snapper
To thaw, remove your fillets from the plastic packaging, cover, and place in the refrigerator overnight. For a quicker thawing, unpackage the desired number of fillets and place in a sealable plastic bag removing as much air as possible. Place in cold water for approximately 30 minutes or until defrosted.
2. Preheat oven to 400°
Baking snapper is easy because it does not require any flipping or turning of the fish. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
3. Season Snapper
As the oven preheats, rub each fillet lightly with melted butter or oil and season with your favorite seasoning blend or our Omaha Steaks Citrus and Herb Seafood Rub. Avoid going overboard to on the seasoning to help preserve the mild and delicious flavor of snapper.
4. Bake Snapper for 15-17 Minutes
Place your fillets skin side down on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 15-17 minutes, no flipping required! Your snapper is done baking when it is opaque throughout.
5. Serve
Baked snapper makes for a delicious and lean protein meal at home. Try serving snapper on top of a salad of leafy greens or on a bed of rice.
