Everything is better with steak, especially a classic BLT. Any steak cut – top sirloin or filet mignon – tastes delicious in this recipe. The Best Bacon for Kabobs
Everything is better with bacon. For this recipe, you need thick bacon – thicker slices slide easily onto the skewer and stay on the kabob. A super thick-cut bacon, approximately ½ inch slices, is perfect for this recipe.
How to Make Grilled BLT Steak Kabobs
Preparing your BLT steak kabobs is simple. Season your steak pieces with Omaha Steaks Seasoning and set aside. Then, cook your bacon according to directions before assembling the kabob.
We recommend using small stainless steel or bamboo skewers for your kabobs. It’s important to soak your bamboo skewers in water at least one hour before adding food to prevent them from burning on the grill.
Slide the seasoned steak tips and cooked bacon onto your skewer and grill over medium high heat 2-3 minutes per side. Add fresh lettuce and tomato and serve with a side of blue cheese dressing for the best BLT steak kabob you’ll ever experience. Grilled BLT Steak Kabobs
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Thick-Cut bacon cooked according to directions
- 8 oz. Omaha Steaks Triple-Trimmed® Filet Mignon Tips
- 8 cherry tomatoes
- 8 1x 1 square chunks cut iceberg lettuce
- 2 tsp. Omaha Steaks Seasoning or your favorite steak seasoning
- Prepared blue cheese dressing for dipping
- 8 small skewers soaked in water for 1 hour
Instructions
- Pre-heat grill to medium high.
- Season steak pieces in a bowl. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces. Place 1 oz steak and a piece bacon on each skewer.
- Place skewer on grill and cook 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove skewers from grill.
- Place a tomato and lettuce on the end of each skewer. Serve on a platter with blue cheese dressing as a dipping sauce.
