Barbeque Shrimp Skewers
Ingredients
Shrimp Sauce
- 1/4 lb. unsalted butter, divided
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons blackened seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 cup of your favorite lager beer
Barbeque Shrimp Skewers
- 16 oz. Omaha Steaks Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp thawed
- 1 teaspoon blackened seasoning
- 4 bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 1 hour
- Shrimp sauce
Instructions
Shrimp Sauce
- In large pan on stove, melt 1 tablespoon of butter on medium heat, then add garlic and cook until soft.
- Add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, beer, and 2 tablespoons of blackened seasoning.
- Bring to a boil and cook 5-10 minutes or until sauce is thick and reduced. Remove from heat and stir in remaining butter.
Barbeque Shrimp Skewers
- Thaw frozen shrimp in refrigerator overnight.
- Preheat grill to high.
- Skewer shrimp on 4 pre-soaked bamboo skewers.
- Season shrimp with the reserved 1 teaspoon blackened seasoning.
- Grill 2-3 minutes per side, depending on size of shrimp.
- Pour shrimp sauce over each skewer when serving.
- Optional: Serve with a glass of your favorite lager and crusty bread to mop up the sauce.
